A glass fibre extension with M8 end, length 3,5 m. Active diameter 4mm and external diameter 6,35mm.

These glass fibre extensions are designed to be used in cases when one of the fibres in an existing set is too short. The glass fibre extensions are also suitable if a customer wishes to use one fibre in a plastic fibre set to light e.g. the stove in the sauna.

When extending a fibre, it is necessary to bear in mind that even if the fibres are adapted together in the best possible way, a loss of 20-40% in the luminosity can be expected. Therefore it is recommended to select a source fibre and an extension fibre with a slightly larger diameter than usual.
